END USER AGREEMENT University of Global Health Equity Digital Repository (DSpace) End User Agreement This End User Agreement (“Agreement”) is made between the University of Global Health (“University”), the repository administrators, and the end user (“User”) accessing content within the University’s Digital Repository (“DSpace”). By accessing or using any content from the University’s Digital Repository, the User agrees to abide by the terms and conditions outlined below. If the User does not agree to the terms, they must immediately cease accessing or using the content.

1. Scope of Access 1.1 The User is granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to access, view, and download materials from the University’s Digital Repository (DSpace) for personal, educational, or research purposes, subject to the terms of this Agreement. 1.2 The University reserves the right to modify, update, or remove content from the repository without notice.

2. Usage Restrictions 2.1 The User agrees NOT to: • Use the materials for any commercial purposes. • Reproduce, distribute, or publicly display the materials beyond personal or educational use. • Alter, transform, or create derivative works based on the materials, unless expressly permitted by the copyright holder or through licensing. • Redistribute, upload, or share any content from the Dspace to external platforms without express permission from the University. 2.2 Any use of the materials outside the scope of this Agreement requires prior written permission from the copyright holder or Dspace administrator.

3. Copyright and Intellectual Property 3.1 The materials available in the University’s Dspace may be protected by copyright, trademark, patent, or other intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted in this Agreement are reserved. 3.2 The User acknowledges that any content in the repository may be subject to specific copyright conditions, and it is the User’s responsibility to verify and comply with these conditions before making use of the content. 3.3 Any content uploaded by the User to the Digital Repository is subject to the University’s policies regarding intellectual property and copyright. By uploading materials, the User grants the University a non-exclusive license to store, distribute, and make those materials publicly available within the scope of the repository.

4. Privacy and Data Protection 4.1 The University is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of all personal data provided by the User, in accordance with the Personal Data and Privacy laws , (Law Nº 058/2021 OF 13/10/2021) of Rwanda or any other applicable relevant laws of the republic of Rwanda. 4.2 The User agrees not to submit any personal data or confidential information unless it is necessary for the purposes of accessing and using the Digital Repository.

5. Limitation of Liability 5.1 The University makes no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of the materials in the Digital Repository. 5.2 The User acknowledges that the University shall not be held liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the materials in the Digital Repository, including but not limited to indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

6. Termination of Access 6.1 The University reserves the right to suspend or terminate the User’s access to the Digital Repository at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to breach of this Agreement or the University’s policies. 6.2 Upon termination, the User must immediately cease all use of the materials and remove any downloaded content from their devices.

7. Governing Law 7.1 This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Rwanda.

8. Acknowledgement and Acceptance By accessing the University’s Digital Repository, the User acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this Agreement.
